Music Therapy for Your Family with Wildwood Music Therapy and MTM

At Wildwood Music Therapy, we are passionate about making life-changing expressive therapies accessible to our community. We are excited to share a streamlined way for Kentucky families to access music therapy services through MTM Health and United Healthcare (UHC).

If you or your child is covered by the United Healthcare Community Plan of Kentucky (Medicaid), you may be eligible for fully reimbursed music therapy sessions.

Is My Family Eligible?

Members of the UHC Community Plan can qualify for reimbursed services if they meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Are currently in adoption assistance.

  • Are former foster youth.

How the Process Works

Getting started is simple and designed to remove the headache of traditional medical billing.

  1. Request a Referral: You can obtain a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) or even self-refer directly through United Healthcare. If you’d like, you can request that your PCP includes your preference to work with Wildwood Music Therapy.

  2. Matching with a Provider: Once UHC processes the referral, they contact MTM Health. MTM then coordinates with providers like us based on location and specialization to set up your services.

  3. Worry-Free Billing: You don't have to deal with complex billing codes or invoices. All reimbursement is handled directly between the therapist and MTM Health.

At Wildwood Music Therapy, we believe financial barriers shouldn't stand in the way of growth and healing. Through this partnership with MTM and UHC, we are proud to bring our services to those who need them most.

This post is the first in a series about music therapy services through MTM Health and United Healthcare (UHC). In our following posts, we will explore music therapy for eligible populations in more depth.
