Music Lessons
Music lessons are open to all ages and abilities. All our teachers are board-certified music therapists and specialize in adapting music experiences to each individual.

Our music therapists provide on-site music therapy and wellness groups in residential and day centers for all ages.

How to access music therapy?
At Wildwood Music Therapy, you can access music therapy in three different ways:
Private Pay: Practices like Wildwood Music Therapy provide groups and individual services for all ages and abilities through private pay groups and individual services.
One Insurance Plan: There is only one insurance plan in Kentucky that pays for Music Therapy: The UnitedHealthcare Community Medicaid Plan of Kentucky, and only for Autism, adoption, and foster care. Call your health plan and ask for music therapy to be added as a “Value Added Benefit” If you want, you can specify Wildwood Music Therapy in the request.
Community Partnerships: Some organizations provide free or low cost music therapy or adaptive music lesson services in collaboration with Wildwood Music Therapy. You can access these programs through these community organizations, for example, certain child development centers, adult day centers, community centers, parks and recreation, assisted living and memory care, medical facilities, and non-profit organizations. Other ways to access music therapy include:
Certain Medical Facilities: Certain medical facilities have on-site music therapy programs and offer services at no charge to inpatients, including UK Healthcare, Good Samaritan Hospital, and The Ridge.
Public Schools: If your child has an IEP, you can ask for an eligibility evaluation for music therapy provide at no cost through the school system as a “related service,” if deemed necessary for their academic growth.
