Amped Up: Rock Band and Sound Science Lab

DESCRIPTION:

Rock Band: Campers will have the opportunity to explore and learn basic skills on all the instruments in a modern rock band (drum set, guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, vocals, and ukulele), as well as practice playing together as a small ensemble. No experience is required and all instruments needed for camp will be provided. 

In the Sound Lab, kids become sound scientists, exploring how music really works. Through hands-on experiments, campers learn about vibrations, waves, pitch, and volume while designing and building their own instruments. It’s science you can hear, feel, and play.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Campers should bring a snack and a water bottle.

• Campers may go outside for movement breaks; please send sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.

• Wildwood Music Therapy and The Bright Spot strive to be inclusive and accessible, but we are unable to provide 1:1 assistance during camp. If your child has a 1:1 assistant at school or for ADLs (such as toileting, eating), or is prone to elopement, an aid is required during their participation in camp.  We are unable to accommodate individuals who demonstrate aggression or may be a risk to themselves or others.

POLICIES:

By purchasing, you agree to the following:

Refund: Cancellations within 30 days of the camp start date are non-refundable. Before that date, registrations may be refunded minus a $50 non-refundable deposit.

Drop-off/Pick-up: Participants must be dropped off and picked up at the Wildwood offices inside the building by an authorized adult.

Allergies: Camper allergies may restrict the types of snacks you may send with your child.
