NOTE: This camp will only take place if we have enough attendees for effective social skill practice, so we will not be charging you upfront. Please reserve your spot by “purchasing” this group for free. We will reach out to confirm the camp and for payment in early July.

LOCATION: Wildwood Music Therapy, 2375 Professional Heights Dr. Ste 134 (Room B+C), Lexington, KY 40503
DESCRIPTION: Any kids 6 - 12 are welcome for our social-emotional music therapy group for elementary age kids. Group is limited to 5 participants.
We'll be focusing on social and emotional skills like:
self-awareness and social awareness,
self-management and coping,
relationship skills,
attention and listening skills,
taking turns,
personal space,
teamwork and leadership, etc.
Music interventions may include things like:
collaborative instrument play,
active music listening,
singing,
moving to music,
expressive music making,
playing Musical games,
music creation and songwriting,
music relaxation, and more!
Note: it's important to us to be sensory friendly, inclusive, and neurodivergent-affirming. Adjustments can be made to lighting, sound levels, processing time allowed, opportunities for breaks, etc. If needed, parents are welcome to remain in the room during part of all of the group.
REQUIREMENTS:
Wildwood strives to be inclusive and accessible, but we are unable to provide 1:1 assistance during this series. If the participant has a 1:1 assistant for ADLs (such as toileting, eating), medical needs, or dangerous behaviors, or is prone to elopement, this assistant should be present as well.

Refund: Cancellations within 30 days of the camp start date are non-refundable. Before that date, registrations may be refunded minus a $50 non-refundable deposit.
